Ramadan Mubarak to Everyone from MANA

  1. The first day of the holy month of Ramadan will be tomorrow Monday, May 6th, 2019.

Maghrib Association of North America extends our best wishes to all our community members and friends. Ramadan is a special time of prayer and fasting, contemplation of God’s greatness, empathy for the poor, and charity and service to those in need. According to Muslim teachings, this season commemorates the revelation of God’s word in the holy Quran to the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. During this month, observing Muslims fast from dawn to sunset. Fasting involves, among other things, abstaining from food and liquids (including water).

We wish you a joyous and blessed Ramadan. Join us with your families and friends to our Annual Ramadan Iftars every Wednesday at ZAM ZAM Banquets Hall in Chicago.

Iftars at Zam Zam banquet Hall on Wednesdays 5/8, 5/15, 5/22 and 5/29
Address: 2749 N. Oak Park Ave, Chicago, IL

May Allah (swt) accept our Siyam (fasting), Qayam (night prayer) and Ibadah (worship) during this blessed month or forgiveness and salvation, which the Lord of the worlds has bestowed upon those who testify His Oneness.

Safety & Security – Saturday March 30th from 6-9 p.m.

Even in war, there are ethics, you don’t kill a woman, a child, an elderly person, a monk, people in places of worship. The attacks on Al Noor Mosque and the Linwood Islamic Center in New Zealand left 50 dead and dozens more injured. Among those gunned down by a terrorist were a 3-year-old boy, children and women. In this difficult moment where we see a rise in hate crimes on Muslims and other minority communities all over this world, MANA will host a Safety & Security workshop presented by the Arab American Police Association from 6-9 p.m. at the MANA Center in Chicago.

Youth STEM Event – Saturday, February 16 at 3:00 PM

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Allah subhanahu wata3ala says in the holy Quran:

“Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you can see. Then, He Istawa (rose above) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty). He has subjected the sun and the moon (to continue going round)! Each running (its course) for a term appointed. He regulates all affairs, explaining the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail, that you may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord” (Surah Ar-Raad)

Our sustainer azza wajall tells us in this Aya and in many other verses about His power that created this universe. He mentions His perfect ability and infinite authority.

To ponder together in this beautiful creation of Allah “The Universe”, MANA YOUTH STEM is inviting all the young boys and girls of our lovely community to attend this awesome program performed mainly by our future leaders at MANA center (4363 N Elston Ave, Chicago, IL)

The STEM program this month will be titled: “A look into the universe” and will be presented by one of our precious MANA youth: Elias Abdoussi.

Bring your kids for an afternoon full of knowledge and savoir faire 🙂

Yummy pizza will be served at the end of the program!
